An investigator-initiated study is a study proposed by a clinician or researcher and supported by JBI . All proposals are reviewed and evaluated according to scientific merit and alignment with research objectives of JBI. Research proposal objectives should aim to improve care for patients or reduce costs associated with delivering healthcare. Our support may consist of products, funds, and/or manuscript or poster preparation for publication of research.
Who Can Submit: All healthcare professionals (physicians, nurses, etc.) and scientists with research interests in wound care, patient protection, supply chain management, and orthopedic bracing are welcome to submit proposed studies or research ideas for consideration.
Submission Requirements: Please include a research proposal that details clinical significance or why the proposed research is important, the study design and approach (e.g. quality improvement initiative, RCT, case series, etc.), proposed timeline, and expected outcomes; a study protocol with status of ethics approval; and the proposed budget.
Types of Submissions JBI Does Not Support: Submissions not affiliated with investigator initiated research. Submissions that pre-condition the purchase, leasing, recommending, or use of JBI devices. Submissions where evidence of influencing exists to determine if submitting party receives funding, Submissions from entities listed on the Office of Inspector General’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (OIG LEIE) or the General Services Administration Excluded Parties List System (GSA EPLS).
JBI Sales Representatives can not be involved in the submission of research proposals for funding by JBI.
JBI is committed to support investigator initiated research; however, more proposals are received than can be funded. JBI commits to fairly reviewing all submissions based on our criteria for support.
